Taste of Limmud at Super Sunday!

January 30, 2011 – 1:00pm — 2:30pm at Barrack Hebrew Academy, 272 S Bryn Mawr Ave Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania 19010

Join us during Super Sunday to hear from Mark Jacobson, author of The Lampshade: A Holocaust Detective Story from Buchenwald to New Orleans. He will be presenting his new book and talking to us about the story behind its creation. The event is taking place at Barrack Hebrew Academy from 1:00-2:30pm during the break from calls.

Get more information on his book here and you can read an excerpt of it here.

This event is free of charge but we ask that you let us know if you are coming below so we can make sure there is enough seating.

FOR KIDS: How are Judaism and worms connected?? Come find out when you join us for a family friendly session on decomposition and Bal Taschit (the Jewish commandment not to waste). Chana Rothman and Luarel Klein lead this session where we will sing songs, learn about decomposition, demonstrate how to make a worm composting bin for your home, and feed the worms!
